Industry Experience: 31

Tenure with Hilliary: 31

Edward Hilliary Jr. is the Co-CEO of Hilliary, a position that reflects his deep-rooted experience in the company and the telecommunications industry. A Medicine Park, Oklahoma native, Edwards first leadership role with Hilliary was as Vice President of Medicine Park Telephone in 2000, eventually assuming various executive roles across the organization.

Growing up in the family business, Edward dedicated much of his free time to working at Hilliary, gaining firsthand knowledge of the company’s operations from the ground up. His experience spans every department, providing him with a comprehensive understanding that greatly informs his leadership as Co-CEO. He holds degrees in Criminal Justice from Cameron University.

As Co-CEO, Edward is responsible for strategic planning and operations for Hilliary-owned properties, which include traditional telephone companies and broadband providers delivering fiber-to-the-home services to unserved and underserved communities. Hilliary has experienced significant growth since 2016, driven by the acquisition of seven rural telephone companies. Through strategic partnerships and ongoing reinvestment, the company has invested over $250 million in broadband infrastructure for rural areas, supported by USDA initiatives such as ReConnect, Community Connect, and the Broadband Loan Program, as well as grants from the Oklahoma Broadband Office. Hilliary currently operates companies across Oklahoma, Texas, and Iowa.

Edward is an active participant in numerous trade associations, including the Oklahoma Rural Broadband Association and the Western Telecommunications Association. Since 2024, he has served on the executive committee of the national board of directors for INCOMPAS (Internet and Competitive Networks Association).

In addition to his professional commitments, Edward is dedicated to community service, volunteering on several local and statewide boards. In 2021, he was appointed to the State Board for Career and Technology by Governor Stitt, who later named him to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation in early 2025. He also serves on the Oklahoma Workforce Commission, a role for which he was appointed by former Oklahoma Speaker Charles McCall. These boards are critical in addressing the state’s workforce needs both currently and in the future.

Edward has been married to his wife Trinity since 1999. They have three children two of which have graduated from Oklahoma Higher Ed institutions. One Son, Christian moved to Washington DC and works in the Capital on the House Rules Committee while the other, Keith, is making a name for himself as a successful tattoo artist in Oklahoma City. His daughter Riley is currently enrolled in Oklahoma State University pursuing a degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice and has worked as an intern with Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.
